Lotto player wins $1m after buying ticket in New Plymouth

The winning ticket was sold on MyLotto to a player from New Plymouth.

Powerball was not struck and rolled over to Wednesday night, where the jackpot will be $10 million.

Strike Four was also won by a player from Auckland who took home $800,000. The winning Strike ticket was sold at Willowbank Superette.

Seventeen Lotto players each won $15,502 with Lotto Second Division.

One lucky player also won Powerball Second Division, taking their total winnings to $32,225. The winning Powerball Second Division ticket was sold on MyLotto to a player from Wellington.

Lotto spokeswoman Kirsten Robinson said the person who won would get invited to the head office in Auckland to celebrate the win. The winner would also be given financial advice if needed.

Those who bought their ticket online should check to see of they were the big winner, she said.
