Lighters Off: Rivers Philadelphia Casino Bans Indoor Smoking

Rivers Casino Philadelphia has banned indoor smoking on its gaming floors starting April 29. The policy was established by state representatives during the COVID-19 pandemic for safety purposes.

Rivers Casino Philadelphia has joined Parx Casino and Mount Airy Casino in banning indoor smoking. The decision comes at a time when lawmakers are considering a total ban on smoking for casinos in Atlantic City. The Casino Association of New Jersey considered that banning smoking in New York would force players to cross the state lines.

Rivers Casino Philadelphia has banned smoking inside the casino. The non-smoking policy has been accepted by guests. Patrons can smoke on the outdoor patio Jack's Ba. Pittsburgh branch is still considering adopting a similar policy. Pennsylvania is home to 16 land casinos, three satellite operations and two satellite venues. In-person gaming revenues went up during Q1 in 2022 compared to Q 1 in 2019.
