It was confirmed Wednesday that theLegends Bay Casino in Northern Nevadais set toofficially open its doors to the public on August 30, 2022, at 8 p.m., as announced by Olympia Gaming, which will run the property. This will be the first new casino in the Sparks-Reno area in over 20 years

Located at The Outlets at Legends, the 80,000-square-foot casino and dining destination will welcome guests in a celebration that will continue on September 2 with a free firework show.

Legends Bay Casino will featurean expansive gaming space with its own loyalty program, LB Rewards, and the latest slot machines and video poker, live table games, and live keno. It will also include the region’s only Circa Sports Sportsbook and a high-limit room.

The casino floor itself will featureover 650 slot and video poker machines, 10 Live Table games, five blackjack tables, craps, roulette, three card poker, Pai Gow poker, Ultimate Texas Hold’em, and Live Keno.

The property will also have three restaurants, including Duke’s Steakhouse, LB Grill and Food Truck Hall.

LB Rewards' free membership entitles all players to earn and redeem points for free play and to receive exclusive Flash Play games at their machine. The earning metric is based on the amount wagered at the machine and there is no searching for a kiosk to opt-in and agree to participate in promotions or multipliers. As soon as the card is inserted, the player becomes automatically eligible.

Garry Goett, Chairman and CEO of Olympia Companies, spoke about the opening and said: “It’s an honor and a privilege for us to open the first new casino in Northern Nevada in a very long time. We have been working tirelessly to bring this project to life for many years, and we are very excited to share it with the community."

“From our one-of-a-kind restaurants to the very first Circa Sports Sportsbook, we have designed Legends Bay Casino to offer the best in class in gaming, dining and sports," he added.

Circa Sports has recently revealed new details for its sportsbook at the property, which will bring"an ultramodern and technology-forward sportsbook to the city," according to the brand.

Upon opening, bettors in the area will also be able to enter Circa Sports' pro-football contests Circa Million IV andCirca Survivor, promising its largest guaranteed payout ever of $12 million, no rake.

CEO of Circa Sports Derek Stevens"Our team searched for a long time to find a great location for our first northern Nevada outpost, and we have found the perfect fit with Legends Bay. The Circa Sports team is honored to be a part of Legends Bay and the exciting new concepts it is bringing to the area. We're proud to become a part of the community and eager to introduce our brand of hospitality to the market."

Goett recently told state commissioners that the $120+ million casino is in the process of hiring some 300 employees ahead of the opening. Job hiring events are taking place from July 13 through August 2, with available positions in food and beverage, casino, sportsbook, engineering, security, surveillance and information technology.

The executive further told the Gaming Control Board that the Outlets at Legends retail development brings in 12 million visitors annually to the area of the future casino. That customer base, along with an average of more than 2.5 million annual visitors to Olympia’s Fandango Casino in Carson City, is expected to help fill Legends Bay Casino.

The project was first introduced 15 years ago, with its initial constructionhalted by the Great Recession. In the meantime, Goett’s Las Vegas-based Olympia Companies developed two non-gaming hotels - Hampton Inn and Residence Inn - near the casino location among the Sparks Marina. This 15-year wait allowedGoett to refocus the casino project’s budget, cutting it down four times its initial value.
