Two people were stabbed to death and six injured on the Las Vegas Strip. The incident took place late Thursday morning close to the Wynn Las Las Vegas casino.

Suspect Yoni Barrios, 32, is in custody. He faces two counts of open murder with a deadly weapon and six counts with attempted murder. The suspect is not a Las Vegas resident, having arrived in the area recently.

There have been numerous incidents of violence on the Las Vegas Strip in recent years. The most recent was the mass shooting in 2017 when a man on a 32-story hotel opened fire on people attending the Route 91 Harvest music festival.
