A new study by the UNLV Center for Business and Economic Research suggests that gambling revenue and visitor volume in Las Vegas will increase gradually until the end of this year. The positive trend will continue in 2022.

Last year, the global COVID-19 outbreak brought many difficulties to businesses around the US. Las Vegas was forced to close temporarily due to the pandemic. Now, restrictions are being lifted gradually and Las Las Vegans are beginning their economic recovery. Hotel occupancy in Southern Nevada will increase by 30.2% this year and another 12.1% in 2022.

Gambling revenue in Clark County is expected to rise 35.5% this year and another 10.7% in 2022. Visitor volume is predicted to increase to 57% from 55% last year. Nearly 36% of the population in the county has been vaccinated against COVID-19.
