Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino – Slots, table games and lots of poker in Las Vegas

The Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino, a.k.a. simply “The Rio”, can make at least one claim no other casino on the planet can: This only features the largest collection of wine on public display. “With your winnings,” invites the PR, “feel free to purchase a bottle … in celebration from The Rio’s 50,000-bottle wine cellar.”

The Brazil-themed casino has over 100,000 square feet devoted to gaming, including just under 1,200 slot machines ranging from penny slots to progressive jackpot games; 80 tables for table games including blackjack, craps, baccarat, mini-baccarat, roulette, Let It Ride and Caribbean stud poker; a keno lounge; and a poker room.

Said poker room deserves special mention – even beyond mention of its three daily tournaments – for the outstanding range of variations played: Beyond the standard Texas Hold ‘Em, there are seven-card stud, eight-card stud, Omaha hi-lo, Omaha eight-card hi-lo, pot-limit Omaha, Badugi, 2-7 Triple Draw and A-5 Triple Draw.

And don’t forget the wine, eh?
