Caesars Palace – Legendary casino on The Strip

What can be written about Caesars Palace that hasn’t already been written? This longstanding Las Vegas casino has become a Hollywood star in itself while serving as location and/or plot device for films from “Hell’s Angels on Wheels” to “The Electric Horseman” to “Ocean’s Eleven” to “The Hangover.” And urban legend just makes this already huge hotel/casino/spa center bigger.

In our limited space here, we’ll just talk casino gaming. Open 24/7, a big 129,000 square feet is devoted to games from slot machines and classic classics to poker and sportsbook services. Slot machines number over 1,500 and cover the entire gamut of the genre, including progressive jackpot slots; indeed, Caesars Palace claims to have “been the site of more $1 million-plus slot machine jackpots than any casino in the world.”

Table games are well-represented by the standard lot: blackjack, craps, roulette, baccarat, mini-baccarat, Spanish 21, Pai Gow and Pai Gow poker.

Poker enthusiasts will also want to put Caesars on the list of spots to visit, with a massive 8,500 square feet devoted to 62 tables. Five tournaments are held daily and weekends see special tournaments; if you think you’re really good, keep a look out for Las Vegas’ exclusive World Series of Poker circuit tournament.
