Locally-owned Diamond Jo Casino in Port of Dubuque, Iowa, is a gambling casino and entertainment complex that was once a 1,500-passenger vessel. The land-based casino facility in conjunction with the docked riverboat was opened in December 2008 and the city of Dubuque credits the Diamond Jo with helping foster tourism in the area.
Today, the land-based complex is a two-story facility with just under 1,000 slots and video poker machines, 17 table games (including Blackjack, Craps, Pai Gow Poker, Roulette and Mississippi Stud), a high-stakes gaming area, and a five-table poker room. Notable regular promotion offers include the bonus multipliers of 3x, 4x or 5x given on loyalty club points at intervals.
Other amenities at the Diamond Jo Dubuque Casino include two restaurants (The Woodfire Grille and Kitchen Buffet), two bars (the Tree Bar and Mojo’s Sports Bar), a 30-lane bowling alley and an theatre complex.
