With a tradition of state-run gambling spanning over 500 years, Belgium has a nice share of land-based casinos – not to mention a truly stunning number of bookmakers, but that’s slightly off-topic here. In any case, Belgium makes a great country for the gambling tourist. Over two dozen casinos currently do business in Belgium, with Liege’s three gaming parlors making this city something of the capital in Belgian casino gaming.
While the sitting government has no apparent problems with its land-based casino scheme, the European Union has made some problems with internet gambling in Belgium. Since 2010, online gambling laws have been in something of a state of flux within the country, but with so many legal bookmakers and casino online and in real life, the legal choices are rife.
Plus, the beer is damn good – best in the world, really, in this writer’s opinion.
