This Week in Gambling: Las Vegas losing millions to Macau COVID lockdown
Macau casinos reopened over the weekend after a two-week lockdown due to the latest coronavirus outbreak. Las Vegas casinos and US gambling companies have already lost millions due the lockdown. Macau's casinos are operating with 50% of their usual staff and profits are down nearly that much for the year. The restrictions will probably last for a few more months. It's time to renew gambling licenses and taxes on gaming revenue just went up. The situation is difficult for businesses.
