The countdown is now well and truly on to the start of “Regulating the Game 2021” – a 5-day gambling regulatory education program to be held in Sydney, Australia and co-developed by leading specialist gambling law, regulatory and compliance advisory Senet and the International Centre for Gaming Regulation (ICGR).

Run concurrently with the Australasian Gaming Expo (AGE) at Sydney’s International Convention Centre (ICC) in August, Regulating the Game 2021 is a carefully curated immersive program designed to build regulatory and compliance capability, cultivate curiosity and critical thinking, and stoke an appetite for continuous improvement.

Development of the program has been assisted by surveying regulators and industry to gather insights into training needs and key issues impacting industry supervision and operators, as well as an appreciation of the commercial, regulatory and public policy challenges across the sector.

Attendees will receive a certificate from the International Center for Gaming Regulation, University of Nevada Las Vegas (ICGR). The certificate recognises that attendees have completed the comprehensive program, heard from distinguished gambling law and regulatory leaders and practitioners, participated in compliance case studies and public policy discussions, and collaborated with fellow attendees and faculty over the intensive 5-days.

The program is designed to promote connection, building relationships and growing the networks of participants as they take part in sessions, discuss and debate ideas, share experiences and insights, and collaborate throughout the course. It is expected that participants will leave the program with new knowledge, insights and perspectives and an enlarged network to leverage as they grapple with public policy and compliance challenges.

Senet will also provide online course access for those unable to attend in-person due to COVID-19.
