Irish EuroMillions player comes very close to scooping €142m jackpot

One Irish Euromillions player came incredibly close to winning the massive jackpot of €142million on Tuesday night.
The huge prize money was not won last night, however eight punters matched five balls, including one lucky Irish player. These winners are now €21,671 richer, but it could have been a lot more.
If the Irish player had matched the Lucky Stars, they would have scooped the life-changing jackpot. The winning numbers for Tuesday's EuroMillions were 19, 37, 42, 47, 48 with the two Lucky Stars 1 and 6.
In total 48,000 players in Ireland won prizes in the EuroMillions and Plus games, with 50 players now €2,000 wealthier after last night's draw.
