MGM Resorts International, Las Vegas Sands, Wynn Resort and Caesars Entertainment won't submit a proposal for an integrated resort in downtown Chicago. The city is considering Waukegan, Illinois, for a gaming development. Illinois has 10 casinos and more than 40,000 video gaming terminals. The state has also invested in sports betting. Chicago Landmarks Commission approved a two-story sportsbook next to Wrigley Field. It's possible that only a handful of offers will be accepted. Wurkegen is one of five locations slated for casino project as part of Illinois’ 2019 gaming expansion legislation.

Penn National is buying theScore. The company expects mobile wagering to be live in 14 states by the end of the year. It is one of three official sports betting partners of NFL. Caesars exceeded all forecasts for cash flow following last year's $17.3 billion buyout by former Eldorado Resorts. Penn is in the process of expanding its Barstool Sports betting presence to at least a dozen states. Nevada is not part of its growth plan. It owns M Resort in Henderson and two small casinos in Jackpot near the Nevada border with Idaho.

BetMGM announced two deals to give it access into Arizona's sports betting market. It will place sportsbooks in three Phoenix-area casinos operated by the Gila River Indian Community and a stadium sportsbook at State Farm Stadium in Glendale. Shaquille O'Neal will be an ambassador for WynnBet. DraftKings bought Golden Nugget's online and sports gambling operations. Nevada does not allow remote registration for sports bets. Las Vegas locals gaming companies have fought any change in the regulation. The presence of Draft Kings in Nevada may be a positive for remote betting.
