Indian states have a degree of independence when it comes to gambling laws. There have been numerous efforts to ban RMGs. The All India Gaming Federation argues that the industry has benefits as well. It earns about $1 billion a year and can create 50,000 more jobs by the end of 2025. They argue that imposing a tax would be more beneficial to the country than banning R MGs, as it would create a better system for gambling.
