Hollywood Casino York Preparing for Early Opening

Hollywood Casino York will be open in a few weeks. The satellite casino is a work in progress. This week, the casino sent representatives to a Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board meeting to review the construction progress of the project.
Hollywood Casino York is planning to open in early August. The casino is going to offer 80,000 square feet of gaming space and include 500 slot machines, 24 table games and 10 electronic tables. There will also be a sports betting site and two restaurants. On June 22, the casino will start the installation of table game. Concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic caused the layout of the gaming floor to be reconfigured.
Hollywood Casino York needs 105 employees in the table game positions. The property was approved by the board to add more table games. Only 60 new hires are receiving free training for the dealer positions, 20 from the Hollywood Casino in Grantville will help out. 45 dealers are needed to help with table-game operations.
