The El Cortez Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas has introduced some measures to prevent the spread of the pandemic. The casino closed in March 2020 and reopened on June 4, 2020. It is family-owned and there was no corporation to get permission to make changes. They reduced the number of slot machines to 700. There are acrylic dividers at the table games. The general manager has no plans to bring back the old arrangement. He had to kick some people out. Mask enforcement was a challenge. Some people had political views. People with political beliefs started arguments with security guards. This created confrontations. Adam Wiesberg worked with a designer in spring 2020 to design the divider.
