Harrah's Philadelphia has removed over 500 slot games from its casino floor. The Caesars Entertainment property will now offer more open space for patrons.

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board allowed Caesars to remove 563 slot games from Harrah's casino in Philadelphia. The gaming floor is now larger, which allows players to move around better among the machines. Since 2008, the total gross gaming revenues earned at the casino have dropped significantly. In 2008 the operator generated over $332 million. Back in 2019 it generated just over $196 million

Before the pandemic, Harrah's Philadelphia had 850 slot games that were not being played. The venue had hit 62% occupancy before the virus. Before the disease, the highest occupancy rate was in early March. Tioga Downs and Resorts World Catskills asked the Gaming Commission to reduce their slot numbers. For Tiogas, 50 machines were removed, for Resort World, 550.
