Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City has raised a total of $124,783 through their PINKTOBER initiative benefitting the American Cancer Society, making the resort the No. 1 fundraising team in the nation.

The funds raised by Hard Rock Atlantic City will benefit the American Cancer Society’s mission locally.

“On behalf of the American Cancer Society and our team of leaders and volunteers, we thank Hard Rock Atlantic City for its dedicated commitment to supporting the fight against breast cancer,” said Paula Green, vice-president of development, American Cancer Society. “We are so grateful for their leadership and their employees’ generosity and passion, and for all who gave and helped raise critical funds to support the fight against breast cancer this October through the PINKTOBER campaign. This will help support patients in need today and the future of breast cancer research. Cancer is a disease that we fight together, and because of passionate community partners like Hard Rock Atlantic City, the American Cancer Society will continue its progress in the fight.”

Hard Rock Atlantic City team members individually raised more than $75,000 through internal and external activations, along with countless volunteer hours throughout October. Michael Woodside, vice president of entertainment and marketing services, represented the resort as a Real Men Wear Pink Ambassador, finishing third in fundraising for the South Jersey and Philadelphia region.

“I simply could not be prouder of the PINKTOBER effort, which has increased significantly year after year,” said Joe Lupo, president of Hard Rock Atlantic City. “Our team members raised the majority of this donation. They care, they give, they act, and when you have a great team, you can do great things.”
