Guest at Las Vegas casino hits almost $3M jackpot

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — at a Las Vegas Strip casino.

The Venetian announced on Thursday they awarded a payout that was nearly $3 million.

The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, was playing Ultimate Texas Hold’em and was dealt a spade royal flush on Sunday.

The player had made a $5 side bet, which promoted a win in the game's mega tier of the Millionaire Progressive, which is worth $2,699,320.

Officials with The Venetian said the jackpot was the biggest since the game's inception back in late 2018.

During the last few years, the Millionaire Progressive has minted 11 total millionaires.
