More than a week after the draw, a Gilgandra Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot player has come forward to collect their $100,000 windfall, right in time for Christmas.

The Orana resident won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10506, drawn Friday 26 November 2021.

However, how they plan to spend their windfall will forever remain a mystery as they have chosen to stay completely anonymous and celebrate in private.

There have been five major Lucky Lotteries wins in western New South Wales so far this year worth more than $800,000.

The winning entry was purchased from Gil News & Gifts, 18 Miller Street, Gilgandra.

Gil News & Gifts owner Caitlynn King said she was over the moon to have sold a 1st Prize in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot to one of her customers.

“This feels absolutely amazing! I’ve owned the retail outlet for over a year now, and it’s really exciting to see our first major lottery win,” she shared.

"When I heard the news, I was so excited for the winner as we’re a small, tight knit country town and the past year has been difficult for everyone.

“I’m so happy to hear the winner has finally discovered their prize. I can imagine the win would be a wonderful present for Christmas.

“Congratulations to the winner on their good fortune and we wish them all the best!”

The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said she was sure the winner was delighted by their $100,000 windfall.

“While we may never know how they plan to enjoy their prize, we have no doubt they are walking around today with a huge smile on their face after discovering their win,” she said.

“Other winners tell us they use their windfall to help families, pay off bills, upgrade their home with renovations or splurge on a new car.

“However our winner chooses to use their prize, we hope they enjoy the winning feeling as long as they can.”

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $5.32 million for draw 1553, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $4.92 million for draw 10508.

In the 12 months to 30 June 2021, 136 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $46.09 million.

During this time, the biggest Lucky Lotteries prize was won by a Coolangatta man who scored a Mega Jackpot prize of $9.41 million in May 2021.

Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.

Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won. If the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the Jackpot Prize will climb for the next draw.

Tickets can be purchased at any licenced lottery outlet, online from thelott.com or via The Lott mobile app.

The official home of Australia’s lotteries, The Lott operates and markets Australia’s leading lottery games customers know and love creating everyday winners, winning every day.
