Global leading online poker room GGPoker has announced the return of its flagship Progressive Knockout (PKO) series — the Bounty Hunters Series (BHS).

Returning for its third installment and the second time in 2022, this time, the BHS sports over $50 million in guaranteed prize money — $20 million more than the previous edition that ran in February. The third iteration of BHS kicked off last Sunday, October 16, and will run through the first week of November, featuring a staggering 749 tournaments.

Not only will the guarantees be more extensive than its previous editions, but the series will feature the booming Mystery Bounty format for the first time. The series also adopts the newly launched jackpot mechanism for bounty tournaments.

In this new feature, a randomized jackpot element is added where players stand a chance of winning as much as $1 million in additional bounty. The new jackpot feature is available in all the PKO tournaments barring the Mystery Bounty tournaments, WSOP-branded events, and high-stakes tournaments with buy-ins of $5000 or more.

“Everyone loves bounty tournaments, and it’s easy to see why; all players have targets on their back, and it’s hunt or be hunted at the tables,” said Sarne Lightman, Global Head of GGPoker in a recent press release. “This is our second Bounty Hunters Series of the year, and there’s so much player interest that we’ve increased the total prize pool guarantee from $30 million to $50 million — let the hunt begin!”
