Gambling with Lives has created a new youth education programme aimed at preventing gambling harm in young people. It will be piloted at schools in Essex, Manchester and Northern Ireland before being rolled out across the country. There are an estimated 250-650 gambling-related suicides in the UK each year. 1.2 million adults and 55,000 children have been addicted to gambling. People with gambling disorder are up to 15 times more likely to take their lives than the general population.

Gambling with Lives launches a new education programme on Monday 13th September. The event will include a screening of a short film dramatization and a Q&A session with a panel of experts. The panel includes Lord Foster, Anna van der Gaag, Liz Ritchie, Steve Watts and bereaved family members who have lost loved ones to gambling-related suicide.

Lord Foster is the Chairman of the Peers for Gambling reform. Anna van der Gaag is Chair of Advisory Board for Safer Gambling. Liz Ritchie is Chairman for Gam with Lives. Steve Watts is CEO of GamFam.
