Frankfurt's Higher Regional Court ordered an online casino to repay €26,000 to a player who used the site's services between 2018 and 2020. Online gambling in Germany was only regulated in Schleswig-Holstein and the operator did not hold a German license.

Frankfurt's Higher Regional Court ordered a casino to refund all deposits made by a player. The player was playing online gambling. The case was heard by the Gießen Regional court back in September. Just before online casinos went live in Germany, a controversial law on turnover tax from online slots and poker was passed.

Frankfurt's High Court ruled in favor of a player who sued a Malta-based online casino and asked for a refund of €12,000. The casino was part of Entain Plc. Group. The company had a success during the Grand National and reported a total of $12.75 million in bets. It was provided with a tick box that noted that online gambling in Germany was not regulated at the time.
