Facebook is being sued for allowing social casinos on its website and app. Google and Apple have also come under fire for the same reason.  Plaintiffs argue Facebook earns 30% commission on all paid wagers made through the apps and operates as a payments platform for social casino.

Facebook is being sued over social casinos. The majority of social casino allow users to purchase virtual money to play, but they can never cash out any winnings. Plaintiffs admit to having spent money on the app, despite no obligation to make a monetary deposit. They are asking for a declaratory judgment in their favor and an award for damages, costs, and fees. They also want an injunction and other relief. Facebook has not been found guilty of violating the RICO Act.
