Evolution Gaming looks to bolster US presence with NetEnt buyout

Evolution Gaming has submitted a SEK19.6bn ($2.13bn) proposal to buyout NetEnt AB. Evolution wants to become the lead games distributor for regulated US market states.

Evolution Gaming will buy NetEnt for $1.5 billion. The board believes the acquisition will be 'strategically sound' for both companies. Mathias Hedlund, chairman of Netent, believes that the combination of Evolution and Net Ent will create a company well-positioned to take significant market shares.
