European Safer Gambling Week to be organized by 13 gambling associations including EGBA and BGC in October

The European Gaming and Betting Association confirmed Thursday that the second edition of the European Safer Gambling Week (ESGW) will take place on 17-23 October 2022. The first edition took place in 2021. ESGW is an annual cross-industry initiative to promote safer gambling in Europe. It is organized by 13 European online gambling associations. It will build upon the record-breaking Safers Gambling Week 2021, which saw an increase in the use of safer betting tools.
European Safer Gambling Week organized by 13 gambling associations will take place in October. BGC, Bingo Association and Bacta are among the associations that will be attending. The event is intended to promote the industry's year-long commitment to safer gambling. It also aims to highlight the tools available to customers if they feel their gambling is becoming problematic. i.e. the whistle to whistle ban on TV betting commercials during live sport and strict ID and age verification checks.
