Richard Quach, a baccarat dealer at The Star Sydney casino, stole $11,000 worth of chips from a gaming table and stuffed them into his sock. He was caught on security camera footage. Quac was sacked and convicted along with a worker who repeatedly overpaid a patron.

Richard Quach stole $11,000 worth of chips from a gaming table at The Star Sydney. He was sacked and sentenced to a two-year community order. Pharadorn Naweesakorn was also sacked for overpaying a patron $20,00. His gaming licence was cancelled by the NSW Independent Liquor and Gaming Authority. The ILGA chair Philip Crawford said special employees are entrusted with the integrity of casino operations.
