Apple recently expanded its App Store Search Ads service with new ad placements on the App Store, which now shows users a new “You Might Also Like” section on individual App Store listings to show ads for sponsored apps.

With the new App Store ad placements rolled out, developers have shared their complaints on Twitter about the type of apps that are being promoted and shown at the bottom of their App Store app listing, mainly relating to gambling apps that developers don’t want to have associated with their product.

Many developers have taken to Twitter to share screenshots of their App Store pages, which have slot machine and casino-style games promoted in the new “You Might Also Like” section, with MacStories editor Federico Viticci sharing screenshots taken from various App Store listings.

Developers are unhappy with having gambling apps displayed alongside their apps, with many seeing it as unethical of Apple to allow such apps to advertise on the App Store in the first place.

Apple hasn’t provided any public reply to the developer complaints.
