ne year went by after Circa Resort & CasinoLas Vegasopened its doors, and gaming historian and professor at UNLV, David Schwartz gave his professional point of view on the impact of the property in downtown Las Vegas, 8 News Now Las Vegas reported.

Being the first ground-up resort in 40 years, Circa Casinoopened during the pandemic, on October 28, 2020, which posed a challenge not only on the gaming industry but on the world economy itself.

“It’s not at all surprising to me that a year after opening, they’re going strong. They’ve got a very good executive team, and they’ve got a wonderful facility, and they’ve got an ownership team that is very invested in downtown Las Vegas,” Schwartz said.

Schwartz also believes that Circa has helped improve the area and the transportation, bringing a fresh new energy to downtown Las Vegas. To him, the property gave people “another option and a reason to go downtown”.

He referred to the property’s parking garage. “The garage Mahal? I think totally transformed what transportation to downtown Las Vegas is like for some people”, he stated.

Another example of world-class amenities and jobs now available in Las Vegas is Resorts World. Together with Circa, the two properties have helped put the city on a path where there will be more development, according to Schwartz’s analysis.

According to Circa Casino's owner Derek Stevens, it is the world’s largest sports betting center, including a six-pool rooftop swimming stadium. The construction took 20 months until completion.
