CEGO has become Europe’s latest operator to go live with Neccton’s ‘mentor’ software as it looks to protect players from problem gambling.

The Danish casino operator recognised a need for better player monitoring tools and began a selection process which led to its partnership with Neccton for the Austrian software provider’s AI-based mentor solution.

This will analyse customers’ activity in real-time while they play CEGO’s online games in an attempt to curb harmful gambling habits. Mentor identifies problematic behavioural patterns and works to help both the player and operator address the issue.

Allan Auning-Hansen, CEO of CEGO, said: “Responsible gambling is a key component of the CEGO mindset, and we are very excited to partner up with Neccton. We believe that mentor’s incident focus will contribute to our aim of helping players play responsibly.”

Mentor has several features that promote responsible gambling, such as informing players when their deposit frequency significantly increases, as well as providing individualised feedback to help customers make more informed decisions about their play.

This news comes as CEGO looks to make a push into regulated markets, having recently received a licence to operate in the UK from the Gambling Commission, bringing more scrutiny and a greater need for better tools to ensure player safety.

“Our scalable solution fits brilliantly into CEGO’s current trajectory; with the appointment of a new CEO in August they are targeting international growth, starting with the UK where we already have many customers and are recognised as a market leader,” remarked Dr Michael Auer, Director and Head of Development at Neccton.

“Our player protection solution answered their every question, and we now look forward to assisting and protecting their customers as the company grows.”
