Pennsylvania's land-based casinos failed to match their pre-pandemic level of slots and table games activity in May. The monthly report released Thursday by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board showed a record high level $413.2 million generated in all forms of legal gaming. Online gambling increased the volume of activity. The $101.3 million in combined iCasino slots, tables, and poker revenue was the first time that number surpassed $100 million.

May's slots revenue was off 12.9% from two years ago and table games revenue down 10.5%. Parx Casino increased its monthly revenue 5% to $55.8 million and Mount Airy Casino Resort boosted its revenue by 8.7% to $17.4 million. The next monthly report will be released in mid-July. In June 2019, the 12 casinos will generate $267. 7 million in gaming revenue on the premises.

BetMGM/Borgata took $346,019 in May, compared to $2.26 million from PokerStars. Pokerstars has been in operation since November 2019. The Poker Stars site is less than half of its April 2020 peak of $5.3 million.
