Casinos in Atlantic City report $373M in revenue for February, says DGE

February marks another strong month for the gambling operators in Atlantic City, New Jersey, based on results released by the regulator on Wednesday. The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) released the gaming revenue results for the operators in February 2022.
In January 2022, racetracks, casinos and their partners reported $381.7 million in total gaming revenue. This marked a 10.3% increase when compared to the $346.2 million in total gaming revenue reported for the same period in 2021.
The same positive trend carried on last month, considering that total gaming revenue hit $373.3 million. This result marked a significant 29.5% increase when compared to the $288.3 million in total gaming revenue reported in February 2021.
Breakdown of the total gaming revenue shows that total casino win for the nine casinos and hotel properties hit $212.4 million last month, marking a 43.3% increase when compared to the same period last year.
Further breakdown of the casino win also shows more than 40% increase for slot machine and table game win. During February 2022, slot machine win hit $153.9 million, while table game win hit $58.4 million, marking an increase of 42.9% and 44.5% respectively.
Similarly, AC's internet gaming win recorded a 38.6% increase during February 2022. The internet gaming win hit $129.9 million, up from the $93.7 million for the same period last year. However, when compared to the $137.8 million in internet gaming win reported in January, a slight decrease is observed.
In contrast to the good results, sports wagering revenue last month marked a decrease. Back in February 2021, sports wagering gross revenue hit $46.2 million. However during February this year, sports wagering revenue was $30.9 million, marking a 33.2% decrease when compared to the same period last year.
Focusing on year-to-date results, the DGE revealed that the total gaming revenue hit $754.9 million. The result represents yet another 19.0% increase when compared to the $634.4 million in total gaming revenue for the same period in 2021.
Not unexpectedly, the casino licensees in Atlantic City have all reported an increase in their total gaming revenue. Bally's undoubtedly marked the biggest increase in revenue. During February 2022, the licensee's revenue hit $12.1 million in total gaming revenue, up 69.2% from the $7.1 million from the same period last year.
On the other hand, Hard Rock has also seen a significant year-on-year total gaming revenue growth. During February 2022, Hard Rock AC has seen $44.7 million in total gaming revenue, up 53.1% from the $29.2 million from the same period the prior year.
Golden Nugget's revenue in February this year has grown by 45.3% to $12.9 million when compared to the same period in 2021. Resorts Digital has also seen a 40.4% revenue growth to $38.5 million this February when compared to the same period a year before.
