Casino would bring jobs, growth

I would like to suggest that the counties of Citrus, Marion and Hernando all get together and work with state representatives to push through legislation to build a casino in the middle area of these counties.
The casino would generate income and jobs and also work to enhance the area with new restaurants and businesses. It also would help with the extension of State Road 589 through the counties. I always read about the need for more revenue and jobs throughout this area.
A state-of-the-art casino would produce the revenue and jobs. It’s time for the expansion of a casino besides the one in the Tampa area. There are many retirees in The Villages and other areas that would love to have a new casino to go to and to enjoy themselves along with the snowbirds who come here during the winter months up north.
Let’s think big and put aside the squabbles of each of the counties and get something built that will bring jobs, entertainment, revenue and progress. Get the State of Florida to support the growth and the idea. Get talking about it and get it done for the benefit of all of us who live in the above counties!
