A VIP ribbon-cutting ceremony was heldWednesday at the newTable Mountain Casino Resortin California, one day prior to its official opening date. With more than 2,400 slot machines and 33 table games laid out across more than 110,000 square feet of casino floor, CEO John Dinius described the new property as “exceeding expectations."

Casino amenities include a high-limit room with 107 slot machines and six table games, as well as an Asian-themed gaming room, The Dragon’s Den. An exclusive players' club and a 12-story hotel are also part of the new property in Friant.

The property is operated and owned by Table Mountain Rancheria, a federally
recognized tribe of Native American people from the Chukchansi band of Yokuts and the Monache tribe.

“It’s obviously a beautiful facility. It’s very sophisticated, it’s very contemporary, but I want people to know we are not trying to be Las Vegas. We are still that hometown, unpretentious type of experience," Dinius said, as reported by ABC30

“It’s a much nicer facility, and it gives us more tools in our tool belt to be able to take care of our guests," he added. Among other amenities, the property also features a concert venue that seats 2,100.

The casino is also home tomultiple restaurants including the Blue Oak Grille and local Eagles Landing Steakhouse, offering indoor and outdoor patio seating, with a food court near the 23,000 sq ft event center. The rooftop teppanyaki restaurant, Sukai, offers panoramic views of Friant and the rest of the Valley.

The facility sitsadjacent to the original Table Mountain Casino -opened 35 years ago- which was paid tribute to during the ribbon-cutting ceremony by Tribal Chairperson Brenda Lavell. “We went from a butler building to more than 110,000 square feet of gaming. Cutting that ribbon is opening many more doors of opportunity for us as a tribe," she said.

Since its opening in 1987 as a small bingo hall, Table Mountain Casino has been described as "a staple in the local community," participating in events, working with multiple school districts and helping fund infrastructure projects, including the widening of Friant Road in front of the casino building. But now its owners are looking to the future, with a grand opening celebration for the new venue starting on Thursday, at midnight.

“From gaming departments to the gaming commission, from facilities to food and beverage, every division of our organization worked collaboratively toward the goal of opening the premiere gaming property in California,” said John Dinius. “I thank each and every one of you for your commitment to this project and your dedication to this tribe.”
