One of the largest gaming and entertainment operators in Canada, Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited, announced the opening of a new property located in Delta, British Columbia, Canada. The company said Thursday that it officially opened the new Cascades Casino Delta.

The new casino creates hundreds of jobs for the area and represents a hefty $99.3m investment for Gateway. Cascades Casino Delta offers 18 table games, stadium-style gaming, as well as 500 slots. What's more, visitors of the venue can also enjoy Gateway's proprietary casino and restaurant brands that include MATCH Eatery & Public House and the Buffet.

Visitors to the Buffet can enjoy a family-friendly atmosphere that fuses good pricing and tasty food. On the other hand, MATCH Eatery & Public House offers unique experiences thanks to live entertainment and multi-season patio spaces. The outlet will undoubtedly catch the attention of sports fans with its brand new sports bar. The new venue is Gateway's largest property and besides casino and food outlets, it offers further amenities such as a 5,000 sq. ft state-of-the-art ballroom, convertible into three separate spaces which can be used for conferences.

Ian Paton, MLA for Delta South, commented on the topic in a statement released on September 29, 2022. He acknowledged that the $99 million investment reaffirmed Gateway's commitment to boosting the tourism sector in Delta. Additionally, Paton said that it is thrilling to see so many new jobs created which in turn will help the residents of the city. Last but not least, he said: "I am very excited for the Cascades Casino Delta to open its doors, where the entire family can enjoy first class food, beverages, and entertainment."

Delta's Mayor, George V. Harvie, congratulated Gateway on the opening of the new Cascades Casino Delta. He pointed out that the company's investment helps the local economy and tourism while creating hundreds of new jobs. "We look forward to working with Gateway in their role as a new member of our business community," said Mayor Harvie in conclusion.

Greg Moore, the British Columbia Lottery Corporation's (BCLC) Board Chair, added that it is delighting to see the new venue open its doors. According to him, the new Cascades Casino Delta offers unique experiences by combining supreme entertainment and casino gaming. Moore added that without any doubt, the venue will positively impact the local economy and raise invaluable revenue for different local programs and initiatives. BCLC's Board Chair added: "We look forward to the ways BC's newest casino will shape the future for the City of Delta and beyond."

Gateway's Chief Operating Officer, Rob Ward, said that the opening of the new venue brings excitement to the company. "I am proud to say, despite the challenges of the pandemic over the last two and a half years, we finally reached our destination," he said. In conclusion, Ward revealed that the opening of the new property confirms Gateway's commitment to "create a state-of-the-art entertainment destination for the City of Delta."
