Delta's upcoming casino hotspot could launch operation in the second half of 2022. The local mayor has expressed concerns about money laundering and dirty money. Mike Farnworth, Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General, has tried to address these concerns.

B.C. Minister Farnworth addressed money laundering concerns about the Cascades Casino Delta. The construction phase of the venue is progressing well and it is expected to open later this year. The project is situated at the former Delta Town & Country Inn site. It is set to come with a 40,000-square-foot gaming floor, with over 600 slot machines and 30 gaming tables.

The Cullen Commission is about to issue its final report on money-laundering inquiries at Delta Casino. The report will be released on May 20. The current Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch’s Corporate Registration Unit seeks integrity. It registers all businesses in the gaming field and their senior executive positions.
