Argentina's Cordoba Province is set to legalize online gambling. The bill was introduced in December to end illegal gambling and allows the use of lotteries, sports betting and casino games.

Cordoba has complied with Argentina's decision to allow gambling on a state-by-state basis. Buenos Aires granted licenses to seven operators last January and the City of Buenos Buenos Aries launched operators. The maximum term of a license is 20 years and foreign operators can be included under the bill. All bettors must be at least 18 years old and registered with a licensee.

Responsible gaming guidelines have been included in the law. It allows players to set deposit limits and self-exclusion limits. Alerts notify players when they are logged into their account more than three hours. Advertising gambling is prohibited in this law except for the explicit approval of the gaming authority.

Online gaming operators in Buenos Aires were among the first to launch in Argentina. Codere Online, 888 Holdings-backed Bplay and Gaming Innovation Group are serving the city. Pragmatic Play and Microgaming entered the market.
