EuroMillions players in Co. Wicklow are being urged to check their tickets carefully today after one lucky ticket holder won the €500,000 EuroMillions Plus top prize in Friday night’s draw. The winning Quick Pick ticket was sold on the day of the draw at the Tesco store on the Wexford Road in Arklow Town.

The winning EuroMillions Plus numbers for last night’s (Friday 4th June) draw were: 08, 14, 15, 27 and 42.

This is the third big National Lottery win that Wicklow has seen in the space of seven days after another player in Rathdrum came to within a whisker of winning the €29 million jackpot on Friday 18th June, instead winning the Match 5 + Lucky Star prize of €96,928. In last Saturday’s (19th June) Lotto draw, another online player from Wicklow was one number short of the €3.2 million jackpot but they did pick up the €331,563 Lotto Match 5 + Bonus prize on offer.

The National Lottery have advised the winning ticket holder to sign the back of their golden ticket and to get in touch with the National Lottery claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to claim their prize.

There was no winner of last night’s EuroMillions jackpot which was worth over €53 million but over 56,000 players in Ireland won prizes. Next Tuesday’s EuroMillions jackpot will now roll to an estimated €65 million.

A spokesperson for the National Lottery said: “As they say, every little helps, but one Tesco customer certainly got more than they bargained for in-store in Arklow town yesterday! We are encouraging all of our Wicklow players to check their tickets carefully today as one player has a ticket worth €500,000. If you are the lucky winner, we ask that you sign the back of your ticket and contact our prize claims team and we will make arrangements for you to claim your prize.”

Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on all National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage, and the Irish Language. In total more than €6 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 34 years ago. In 2020 alone, €254 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
