Full House Resorts will celebrate the "topping off" of its Chamonix Casino Hotel project on September 21, 2022. The ceremony will commemorate the placement of a construction beam at the highest point of the construction project. Chamonix will be a new luxury hotel and casino in Cripple Creek, Colorado, opening in mid-2023. It will include a spacious and exciting new casino, approximately 300 luxury guest rooms and suites, a guest-friendly parking garage, convenient new surface parking lots, extensive high-end meeting and entertainment space, outdoor, rooftop, heated swimming pool overlooking Bennett Avenue, full-service spa and beauty salon, and fine-dining restaurant.

Waukegan's temporary American Place casino is scheduled to open this fall. Waukeson's Unit School District 60 students begin the 2022-23 school year on August 11. The temporary casino will have 1,000 slot machines and 50 table games. It will be staffed by at least 260 dealers. Mayor Ann Taylor wants to know what the winning casino bidder plans to do for the schools within the city limits. The permanent casino's construction will take 3-5 years. Warren Township High School district 121 and Woodland Grade SchoolDistrict 50 will eventually receive property tax revenue from the casinos.

Hard Rock International and the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin are teaming up to bring a casino to southeastern Wisconsin. The Waukegan Planning & Zoning Commission has approved the site plan for a temporary casino in Lake County, Illinois. The commission unanimously recommended the council approve the plan. Aldermen are to vote on the recommendation on March 21. Full House Resorts is targeting July for the opening of the temporary American Place casino. It bought a tent structure from Sprung Structures. The temporary 75,000-square-foot tent-like structure is set to open by July. Last month, Fullhouse announced it entered into an agreement to purchase 10 acres of land adjoining the nearly 30-acre casino site to be leased from the city.

American Gaming Association reports a quarterly record for July, August and September. AGA reports $38.67 billion in revenue through the first nine months of the year. The industry is on pace to smash its annual record of $43.65 billion set in 2019. States that offer some form of gaming generate tax revenue to help solve a multitude of problems. Nevada casinos collected $3.683 billion for the third quarter of 2020. The total won in Nevada in the quarter was 26.5 percent of nationwide third-quarter amount.
