Atlantic City casinos' gross gaming revenue is up 75% for the first five months of 2021 compared to the same period in 2020. Some casinos have bounced back better than others. Borgata's revenue has nearly doubled since the previous year. The market leader is the Borgatas. They took in $68.4 million in online casino gaming and sports betting in 2010, but $186.6 million this year, compared with $296.1 million two years ago.

The expansion of legal, regulated gambling is going to make the Atlantic City casinos reasonably close to their pre-pandemic revenue figures. Gov. Phil Murphy has recently lifted most restrictions on the casinos. The expansion is helping the casino's fortunes. The casinos are expected to have a revival of a summer.

Hard Rock is a distant second to Borgata in AC. Ocean Casino is third for May and 2021. Harrah's is in the middle at fifth place. Tropicana is fourth for the year ($89.90 million) but was just sixth in May. Caesars is sixth for this year and sixth overall. Resorts is No. 7 for both May ($15.4 million and for 2021 ($59.7 million). Golden Nugget is eighth for each May $13.2 million. Bally's, in need of upgrades, is last place ($12.3 million/$48.8 million.)

Borgata beat Golden Nugget in May in online casino gaming revenue. Resorts came in third place with $21.5 million. Sports betting is taking place in New Jersey. Partnerships with FanDuel and PointsBet produced $169 million in 2021 revenue for the state.

All Atlantic City Casinos are recovering.
