ACMA wants local Internet Service Providers to block access to illegal online gambling platforms. The latest request is for the Kings Chance Service. It is the latest response to the Interactive Gambling Act 2001. Engine Australia was appointed to deliver the first national self-exclusion register for online betting in Australia. A self exclusion would be available for a minimum 3 months and permanent.

ACMA requests local ISPs to block access to illegal gambling websites. Since 2017, more than 130 illegal online gambling services have been pulled out of the market. The regulator is focused on the enforcement and disruption of online casinos that are being illegally operated in the country and target local gamblers. It is also aware that such websites often do not reveal their ownership and make the investigation into their operations difficult.
