A Maroubra man can’t wait to help others and have a holiday in Queensland after a walk to check his lottery ticket uncovered a $100,000 prize from a recent Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw.

The Eastern Sydney resident won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10602, drawn Thursday 30 June 2022.

Following the draw, an official from The Lott contacted the winning man to share the marvellous news.

“I’m sorry I didn’t answer your call. I thought you were trying to sell me a new energy plan!” he laughed.

“I was out walking and checking my Monday & Wednesday Lotto entry, when I noticed a win notification on Lucky Lotteries.

“I thought, ‘oh, that’s cool – a little win on that one’ – then I realised it said $100,000!

“All I could think was, ‘that’s not right, I don’t know about this’.

“This is the second time I’ve ever purchased a Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot ticket! I usually only purchase tickets when there’s a big jackpot!

“I plan to help someone who deserves it and celebrate with a holiday in Queensland.”

The winning entry of five random numbers was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $11.57 million for draw 1579, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $17.18 million for draw 10603.

In 2021, 127 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $32.95 million.

During this time, the biggest Lucky Lotteries prize was won by a Coolangatta man who a Mega Jackpot prize of $9.41 million in May.
