$89.2 Million In June Revenue As Michigan Internet Gaming Strong Again In June

$89.2 million of gross revenue was generated in June for Michigan internet gaming. The state is still short of the $100 million mark for the third month running. New Jersey and Pennsylvania are the only other states to have achieved that.

June's gross internet casino gaming and online sports betting wagering receipts in Michigan roughly matched May.

BetMGM Casino again leads the way in revenue with $33.8 million. DraftKings Casino was second with $15.5 million of revenue, FanDuel Casino third with 16.6%. FireKeepers Casino launched its casino and sportsbook online properties last week and reported $11,902 in June online casino revenue.

Operators spent $23.0 million on casino promotions this summer. The summer sports slowdown pushed operators to focus more on marketing. Since January, $483.1 million of revenue has been generated in Michigan. It raised $13.7 million in state taxes and $3.3 million for Detroit.

Michigan's online gambling operators report $155.9M in January revenue

Internet casino gaming and sports betting operators in Michigan reported $155.92 million in January. Results were down 0.4% compared to December. Internet gaming made up $121.24 million of the total gross receipts, with internet sportsbetting making up the remaining $34.68 million. Detroit's three casinos paid the city $5.9 million for wagering taxes and municipal services fees tied to the two forms of online gambling for the month.

Internet casinos, poker and sports betting in Michigan generated $1.4 billion in 2021. Bettors wagered $3.7 billion at online sportsbooks last year. Detroit's three casinos paid $59.35 million in wagering taxes and municipal services fees to the city for 2021, and tribal operators made $22.39 million. For online casino games and poker, BetMGM had the highest revenue for the year of more than $417 million, while FanDuel had more $993 million of bets. December brought a monthly record of $121.76 million for internet gaming.
