WILKES-BARRE — Tonight’s Powerball® jackpot is now offering an estimated annuity value of $700 million, or $335.7 million cash.

This jackpot ranks as the 5th largest in Powerball’s 30-year history and 8th largest in U.S. lottery history.

“If you’re planning to play, remember that Powerball® ticket sales in Pennsylvania end at 9:59 p.m. on drawing nights, and players have the option to purchase tickets in-store or online,” said Pennsylvania Lottery Executive Director Drew Svitko. “While playing lottery games like Powerball® is fun, we also remind players to please play responsibly. Powerball® is one of many games in our portfolio that helps us generate vital funds for older Pennsylvanians, and we’re proud of that mission.”

This is the largest the Powerball jackpot has been all year and the first time the jackpot has reached the $700 million mark in more than a year.

The last time the Powerball® jackpot was above $700 million was in the Jan. 20, 2021, drawing, when a ticket in Maryland won a $731.1 million jackpot prize.

The last time a Powerball® jackpot was won in Pennsylvania was on Aug. 3, 2022. In Pennsylvania, this recent jackpot run has generated more than $55.3 million in sales, creating a profit of more than $22.1 million to benefit older Pennsylvanians.

If there is no Powerball® winner in tonight’s drawing, the jackpot for the Saturday, October 29 drawing will be an estimated $800 million, or $383.7 million cash.

Pennsylvania Lottery players have options to purchase their Powerball® tickets online or by visiting a retailer. Players can find lottery-selling locations closest to them by visiting the Find a Retailer section of the Lottery’s website.

Additionally, pooling ticket purchases with friends can be a fun way to play responsibly. To help players manage their pooled ticket purchases, Pool Play forms are available at www.palottery.com.

Winners are not known until prizes are claimed and tickets are validated. Pennsylvania Lottery Powerball® winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes.
