JAIPUR: A crime branch team of the Jaipur police commissionerate raided a farmhouse in Jaisinghpura Khor on the outskirts of Jaipur and busted an illegal high-profile party where a large number of youths including girls were found playing casino games.
The casino games were being played in the guise of a dance party.
The raid took place around 2 am on Sunday at Sahiram Farm House. As many as 84 people including 14 girls were taken into custody. The police seized 20 luxury cars. A cash amount of Rs 23 lakh was recovered from the spot.
The police got a tip-off about the dance party and raided the farmhouse. The online casino games were being played on five different tables. Many youths were also found smoking hookah and consuming liquor. It has come up during preliminary investigation that no permission was sought from the excise department for the liquor party.
There were reports that an inspector posted in the Hyderabad crime branch and a tehsildar were also participating in the party; however, police were yet to confirm this.
Nearly 20 luxury cars and cash has been seized from the farmhouse. Sources said that these types of dance parties are common at the farmhouses located on the city outskirts.
