4 Atlantic City casinos not cleaning rooms daily, union says. Caesars, Harrah's, Tropicana and Golden Nugget are not complying with a COVID-related requirement that hotel rooms be cleaned daily. The state health department confirmed the order remains in effect. The union is in talks with the nine Atlantic city casinos for a contract to replace the ones that expired at the end of last month. Housekeepers claim there are too few workers to clean each room daily and they are understaffed. One housekeeper at Caeres claims the workload is taking a toll on her health.
