Fans of the Os Man (hi, mom!) know that the Os Man’s a big fan of Microgaming’s Big Kahuna games, and this 9-payline eldest brother of the series is no exception.
Big Kahuna has none of the animated backstory and one-tenth the bonus round of Big Kahuna: Snakes and Ladders, but still makes for an excellent online slot play.
The fruit symbols are really gorgeous here, and the alternating twinkly and hollow-percussive sound effects are fine. Two bonus rounds are available to trip into: The cleverly titled “volcano bonus” and “mask bonus” games are pretty much what you’d expect, e.g. get three masks on the reels, enter bonus round, choose three masks. (“CHOOSE WISEFULLY,” helpfully advises Big Kahuna.)
In the end, Big Kahuna is a bit less than Big Kahuna: Snakes & Ladders, but sometimes you feel like returning to the classics...LCD rating: A solid 8/10.
