Psssst, buddy, who’d’ya like in the Miss Universe on Sunday?
It’s not just an excuse to ogle girlie pics online (really, dear), but rather an opportunity to participate in some good ol’ prop bets on the Miss Universe contest going down on Sunday night 9pm US EST; heck, Miss Universe may be the second most heavily-anticipated non-sports prop bet of the year for most punters. (Props on the Miss America winner placing first, of course.)
The board over at Bodog.com has
Miss Venezuela, Dayana Mendoza, as the favorite at +625, though hardly running away with the odds show this early on.
Ingrid Rivera, Miss Puerto Rico, has also earned some attention – perhaps for that brazen hairstyle – at +750. The top ten is filled out (heh) by
Miss Panama (+900),
Miss USA (+900),
Miss Colombia (+1000),
Miss Czech Republic (+1100),
Miss India (+1100),
Miss Mexico (+1200),
Miss Belgium (+1200), and
Miss Ireland (+1400).
LCD’s not going to offer specific recommendations ... we’re still, um, researching, but perhaps we’ll get one in in time for the weekend’s show. Tell you what, though, you gotta like
Miss Kosovo, Zana Krasniqi, at +2000 as the sentimental favorite in her country’s first year in existence. As for a dark horse, putting any Miss Hungary – much less
the delicious Jazmin Dammak – at +6600 is underestimation of these ladies’ allure. Take it from one who knows.
