Getting the online scratch-card itch at All Jackpots
As ever looking to craft their own unique twist on the old online standards, the folks at Microgaming software have released their first round of “Instant Win” games, essentially scratch cards.
Currently available at All Jackpot's flash version (find them, somewhat counterintuitively, under “Table Games”) are eight cards all in that distinctive Microgaming style. Titles are as follows.
Dawn of the Bread – Would you believe living-dead zombie bakers? That's right. Crack open the loaves of nasty-looking bread to match three human hearts, eyeballs or vermin. Just don't plan on eating in front of this one.
Dragon's Fortune – The quasi-obligatory Occidental-themed game features a sharp-looking dragon which, um, vomits forth six pearls festooned with Chinese symbols. Match two for prizes up to a crazy 20,000x bet.
Golden Ghouls – The wordplay here has “ghouls” substituting for “goals,” not “girls.” Match three cute little soccer-playing mad scientists, werewolves, Frankenstein's monsters, etc. for up to 250x payout.
Super Zeroes – This one features hilarious comic-book superfloperoos like Captain Burger, stunningly curvaceous Bubblegum Girl, and the Uncredible Lump; hey, how about an online slot based on these, Microgaming? Match three here for a score of up to 10,000x.
Freezing Fuzzballs – The cute arctic animals entry. A nice waterdrop sound plays with a resonant bloop upon “scratching” an X. Top prize is a cool (titter) 2500x bet.
Slam Funk – Oooh, 70s basketball flashback! All the afroed archetypes are here, as are disco samples on a winning card; oddly enough, animated number 7 kicks a disco ball around like Pele...still can’t figure out the relevance to that one.
Wild Champions – More cute animals; this time, they’re of the jungle variety and playing sports. Actually amusing animations on winning cards happen here.
