Playtech Limited expanding at home and abroadPlayTech Software, creator of such online slots as Silent Samurai and Alien Hunter (plus, lest ye forget, coming soon The Untouchables and Gladiator!), is moving up on the boards of those into the voodoo known as stocks and bondage.

Parent company Playtech Limited was pleased to announce completion of the acquisition of Win Gaming Media subsidiary MIXTV Ltd. assets; Playtech representatives have stated that the company most seeks to exploit MIXTV's mass-multiplayer functionality.

Said technology maked for MIXTV’s specialization in live gaming applications for linear broadcast television and interactive live TV programming. MIXTV live streaming products are available in the milieu of analogue, digital, terrestrial, cable, satellite TV networks, and web broadband TV.

The acquisition was valued at $1.75 million (approximately €1.18 million / £933,000). The Playtechies also announced a new license and service agreement with Win Gaming Media's Alderney-based subsidiary Two Way Gaming.

Win Gaming Media CEO Shimon Citron hinted at the strategy of the move with in stating that “This new business venue shifts our focus to our subsidiary, Two Way Gaming, and the exceptional opportunities we face by working with Virgin Media TV in nourishing and expanding the 'Challenge Jackpot' gaming channel."

Meanwhile, Playtech is increasing the potency of its name in Italy as well, with land-based gaming operator Snai revealing plans to launch an online poker room on Playtech's Italian poker network.

Terms of the agreement call for Playtech to provide Snai its portfolio of poker games in tournament form, and free versions of Texas Hold ‘Em and Omaha are current available to Italian players. Cash play on the product will be made available by the end of this year.

Playtech CEO Mor Weizer proclaimed that "Playtech has the world's largest non-US liquidity pool and intends to leverage this experience to establish a strong presence in the newly regulated Italian poker market.”
